Description

Flow will transform the way you work with the graph editor from the very moment you launch it on your Mac. Period.

Flow brings a clean, intuitive interface to After Effects for adjusting animation curves without ever having to dive into the outdated and confusing graph editor. Gone are the days of slow, heavy expressions or struggling with speed and influence (what does that even mean?) — simply create a curve, hit the APPLY button, and you're golden! After completing a Flow download for your Mac system, you'll immediately notice how much smoother your animation workflow becomes.

Used to the web life? Flow works with the exact same CSS animation-timing functions you know and love so well. Our values directly correspond to the values in cubic-bezier (x1,y1,x2,y2). The core of flow is built upon Lea Verou's cubic-bezier.com, so you can freely copy URL values and paste them right into the extension — Flow will parse them and apply the exact same transition to your selected keyframes or expression with perfect precision.

Flow for mac ships with 25 preset, commonly used motion curves based on Robert Penner's easing functions. But don't limit yourself — build your very own custom library and share it with the entire world, or import custom presets from other animators with just a single click of a button. Much like choosing scenes in a flow movie, browsing through preset packs is visual and intuitive. Check out some of the downloadable packs available below!

Our graph and library both support keyboard shortcuts; in the library, use Shift / Alt / Ctrl to quickly set Ease In / In & Out / Ease Out, or in the graph to snap handles in different ways or move them symmetrically across the curve on your Mac.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Flow free?
Please check the developer's website for current pricing information.
The download seems damaged or won't open?
If the disk image won't mount, right-click the .dmg and choose Open — macOS Gatekeeper will then offer an override.

Check the Architecture line in the Specifications panel on this page. Universal binaries run natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel. Intel-only builds run through Rosetta 2 on M-series Macs.
How do I update the app later?
Re-download the latest version from the catalogue, mount the new disk image, and drag-replace the application bundle in /Applications.
Can I request an app that isn't in the catalogue?
The catalogue is curated by a small editorial team. Request lists are accepted by community comment threads on each macOS release roundup.
