Back in October 2010, a team of students released the original version of Octodad into the world. Despite the widespread belief that it was merely a simulator of a perfectly normal human father, the game became a cult hit, garnered significant press coverage, and became a finalist in the Student category at the 2011 Independent Games Festival.
